PERRY TOWNSHIP PERMIT FEE SCHEDULE
APPLICATIONS FOR PERMITS ARE TO BE PICKED UP AT THE TOWNSHIP OFFICE
NO-LIEN LETTERS $15.00
Driveway permits are $100.00(residential) $110.00(utilities & commercial) plus a $300.00
Deposit submitted with the application. (Deposits will be returned after final inspection is approved)

CULVERT REPLACEMENT PERMIT
$100.00 application fee with an open grate culvert required or per the specification of the driveway permit officer.
$12,500 per mile for all township roads except the dirt roads which will be $6,000 per mile. (less than one mile of road shall be calculated at one mile) Bridge bonds will be determined per the involved bridge.
Non-UCC Code Construction: $50.00 plus a $.10 per square foot (inspections are done by the township building inspector) – 5 years to begin and 2 years to complete. Two sets of drawings are required.
UCC Code Residential Construction: $50.00 plus $4.50 for each type of inspection, plus $.18 per square foot. A minimum deposit of $450.00 is required with the application. (Code.sys is the inspection company) Two sets of drawings are required.
UCC Code Commercial Construction: $50.00 plus $4.50 for each type of inspection, plus $.33 per square foot. A minimum deposit of $450.00 is required with the application. Additional fees may be due following the review by the inspection company. Three sets of drawings are required and must be architectural detailed drawings.
If there is no activity for 180 days on the permit – the permit becomes invalid and the applicant must re-apply and submit all fees at the current rate to extend the permit.
Demolition permit is required demolition of all structures. Residential and farming structures do not have a fee for structures less than 1000 square feet. Houses, structures over 1000 square feet and all commercial structures will require Code.sys to be involved and a deposit will be required (amount to be determined by Code.sys)
STORMWATER APPLICATION COMPLIANCE
Projects under 2,500 square feet of ground disturbance may be eligible for an exemption through the township stormwater officer.
Projects over 2,500 square feet of ground disturbance will need to complete the application, the reimbursement agreement and submit a fee of $1,500 to Perry Township before the application is submitted to the township engineering company.
All commercial, residential, agricultural construction over 2,500 square feet must comply with the storm water regulations.
REMOVAL/SALE OF MOBILE HOME
A certificate must be obtained from Lawrence County and the Perry Township Tax Collector for proof of taxes being paid prior to receiving the removal permit.
Removal permit must be gotten from the Perry Township Tax Collector and a demolition permit from the Perry Township Office prior to removal of the mobile home.
Failure to do so will result in the structure not being removed from your tax assessment.
$300.00 application and or renewal 1 year
$50.00 for all solicitation permits – NO fees for school students. 1 year limit.
STREET ADDRESS SIGNS
Street address signs are available at the municipal building for $10.00. New home construction will receive one address sign.
LANE ADDRESS/STOP SIGNS
$10.00 new lanes limit -one name & one stop sign-replacement Available at township office
SEWAGE TAP IN
where sewer system exists – residents are required to tap in and must confirm approval with Perry Township Municipal Authority before construction
SEPTIC PERMIT PROCESS
Fees will be due according to the Sewage Enforcement Officers fee schedule and will be subject to additional work and fees charged by the Sewage Enforcement Officer and must be paid prior to completion of the work.
SEPTIC HOLDING TANKS – OIL AND GAS WELLS ONLY
Fees will be charged per each holding tank per the SEO’s current rates – plus a monthly inspection fee while the holding tanks are in place until the approved final inspection immediately prior to the tank/tanks removal from the site.
A fee of $2,000.00 must be paid to Perry Township with a completed Septic Agreement for special systems. The fee is to be deposited into an escrow account.
CLEAN-UP DAY FEES
Perry Township Residents participating in the Township Cleanup Day are to pay $10.00 for each load of garbage/etc. brought for disposal. Vehicles larger than a car or regular size pickup will be charged $50.00 per load. The event is for Perry Township residents only.
PROPERTY SET BACK DISTANCE
No set back per ordinance – recommend 8-10 feet
ROAD RIGHT OF WAY
Township roads are 33 feet up to 50 feet
SEWAGE COMPLAINT FEE
$50.00 To be returned if found to be viable complaint
